Anissa began singing at the young age of six, growing up in a family of musicians and singers where music was a way of life. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Anissa performed in choirs and top 40 bands, nurturing her passion. Her journey took an unexpected turn when her voice became part of the very first “Air Jordan” radio jingle for the iconic sneaker, that also led to recording a 12-inch record that made its way onto mainstream radio.

Anissa’s latest project, “Stay Ready,” has taken the airwaves by storm, with two tracks charting in the Top 100 on the R&B Billboards. With this success, Anissa continues to captivate audiences with her authentic, soulful, and sexy sound. She’s had the honor of singing alongside legends like Gloria Gaynor, The O’Jays, Patti LaBelle, Chante Moore, Miki Howard, Howard Hewitt and many more, fueling her dedication for meaningful connections.

Her debut project, “Still I Rise,” released in 2015, laid the groundwork with airplay on mainstream adult contemporary radio and XM Radio. Needless to say, Anissa’s no stranger to the stage. She has continued to perform at sold out shows at iconic venues such as Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., The Howard Theatre, City Winery D.C., Bethesda Theatre and Keystone Korner Baltimore to name a few. Whether on stage or in the studio, Anissa’s mesmerizing vocals and electrifying energy leave audiences spellbound.
